Studied under Masatsugu Takase at Geido Tate Hato-ryu Takase dojo Japan for 14 years. She was featured in numerous films and stages as an action stunt, and has taught tate and demonstrated at Takase dojo branches. Moving to the U.S. for the second time in 2012, she launched Geido Tate Hato-ryu Takase dojo NY branch in 2014. Teaching variety of subjects such as tate, combat action, stick fighting, fan, tonfa, and nunchuks, Kyo teaches, choreographs, and directs a wide range of students from professional actors to beginners to children. She has been involved as an action and Japanese Sword Fighting coordinator for many productions such as action films and theater performances in NY.
