Our director Kyo and her husband established Kyoko Arai Fund in 2021 to fund the annual HEAR US (Honoring, Elevating, and Recapitalizing Underrepresented Stories) Awards, which was designed at NYC Tisch School of the Arts to celebrate and advance student projects that center BIPOC voices and stories, and to fund students actively working to combat systemic marginalization in the creation and leadership of artistic and scholarly works.
This year's HEAR US Cohort, including two Kyoko Arai Fund recipients, was announced!
Kyo attended the ceremony and personally handed the awards to the recipients ISHKWAAZHE SHANE MCSAUBY (Project: Nimkii) and JESS X. SNOW (Project: When We Were Dragons)!

Feature Film "Gold Boy" which Kyo worked as a stunt coordinator was selected for the Gala
Selection section of the Tokyo International Film Festival, one of the largest film festivals in Asia.
Tokyo International Film Festival will be held from October 23rd to November 1st
Tickets will go on sale on October 14th
