Tuition, Props, Discounts & Perks

Tuition: $1200

Props Used: Takemitsu (Wooden sword) and Bokken (Wooden practice sword) - We use the Takemitsu swords for the actual shooting

BYO Takemitsu available

*Note: For safety reasons, organizers reserve the right to prohibit the use of personal props if they fail safety inspections.

Obi (belt) will be provided, and takemitsu sword rentals are available.

Costumes: You are welcome to bring and wear costumes that fit the character image you wish to portray. (Kimono and hakama rentals are available for those who need them).

Professional Demo Reel Scene: The video taken on the final day will be carefully edited and sent to you at a later date. This scene is perfect for your actor/action reel.

Workshop Highlights

A Professional Set Experience on the Final Day: Perform in a real filming environment, fully crewed with a Director of Photography (DP), sound, and lighting teams. You will also have the opportunity to deepen your learning by observing other teams' shoots live or on the monitor.

4-Day Curriculum

Day 1 (Oct 14) | 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM - Introductions / Overview of the scene and the workshop plan / Team assignments & action choreography rehearsal
Day 2 (Oct 15) | 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM - Action choreography rehearsal continues while incorporating dialogue
Day 3 (Oct 16) | 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM - Final comprehensive feedback on both acting, action scenes and safety / Walk thru shooting plan
Day 4 (Oct 17) [Final Day] | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM - Live shoot by a professional crew (DP, Sound, Lighting)

Important: Requirements & Preparation

Mandatory Attendance: You must be available to attend all 4 consecutive days.
Advance Preparation: Scripts will be distributed beforehand. Please arrive on the first day with your lines fully memorized.
